District Alert RSS feed for APS Emergency News 2-Hour Delay for All APS Schools, School Closed for East Mountain Schools and To’hajiilee Students - Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2020 As of 4:30 a.m., all APS schools will be operating on a 2-hour delay on Tuesday, February 11, 2020, due to inclement weather. Classes are canceled for all East Mountain Schools and To’hajilee students only. Note: For Manzano High School, classes are canceled only for students living in the East Mountain area. Manzano High School students not living in the East Mountain area should plan to arrive at school two-hours after the normal start time. Learn more about School Delays and Cancellations . The following will be canceled on abbreviated days: All evening activities, including athletics, are canceled this evening. Zero hour activities Career Enrichment Center classes. FEATURED Geography Bee Winners! The Geography Bee preliminary round was open to all DRMS students. Just making into the top 10 is a HUGE accomplishment. 8th grader Nico Grayson (right) earned the title of 2020 DRMS Geography Bee champion. Nico will take a test to qualify for the New Mexico State Geographic Bee which will be held in April. All APS afternoon and evening activities are CANCELLED for tonight, Tuesday, February 11th. Desert Ridge activities CANCELLED tonight include: DJ Club, Builders’ Club, soccer practice, basketball practice, and the parent track meeting.
